Business‐Like Narrative and Public Engagement: Evidence From TED Talks on Nonprofit Issues

open access: yesNonprofit Management and Leadership, EarlyView.

Translating Machine Learning Into Manufacturing Expertise—Actionable Interpretability and Stability for Precision Injection Molding

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
This research aims to enhance confidence in using AI/ML models and address unpredicted defects occurred during injection molding (IM) through guided machine fine‐tuning. Integrated stability analysis and parallel coordinate visualization coupled with perturbation analysis are presented to augment domain‐specific XAI applications in the IM industry ...

Clinical interpretation of cardiac troponin in athletes: From endurance exercise to exertional injury

open access: yesPM&R, EarlyView.
Abstract Exertional heat illness (EHI) and exertional rhabdomyolysis (ER) are increasingly recognized causes of morbidity in competitive and tactical athletes. Cardiac troponin (cTn) elevation, traditionally viewed as a marker of myocardial necrosis, may also be seen in these settings and can create significant diagnostic and prognostic uncertainty ...

Comparison of Calorimetry and NMR Relaxometry Measurements of Epoxy Cure Kinetics

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Single‐sided NMR monitors epoxy cure in three DGEBA/diamine systems, alongside benchmark DSC measurements. Fitting both datasets to a Kamal‐Malkin kinetic model shows NMR‐derived rate constants typically exceed DSC values, revealing an offset between gelation and chemical conversion.

The need for manual curation of the cotton proteome leads to a solution primed for undergraduate involvement

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Cotton is a global crop cultivated worldwide, yet a significant portion of the cotton genome remains functionally unannotated. Attempts have been made to automate this annotation but have been unable to completely bridge the gap. Human curation is still needed for accurate interpretations and predictions to be made.
