Seed Storage and Germination of Three Grass Species: Effect of Spikelet Weight and Dormancy
Dormancy is a plant strategy that distributes germination over time. Domestication changed this in many cultivated species. However, many still retain this characteristic because it has not been completely removed or domesticated, especially in apomictic

Our study revealed how landscape transformation from native savanna to improved pastures increases soil organic carbon (SOC) in two regions of Colombia. The results show a significant change in SOC to along profile (0–60 cm), influenced by factors such as grass type, geographic conditions, and soil texture.

Anti-nutritional potential of protodioscin and kinetics of degradation in Urochloa grasses
This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional value of Urochloa exotic grasses to quantify aspects of anti-quality and to identify their correlation with quality grasses. We evaluated the grasses U. humidicola cv. Comum, U. humidicola cv.

Initial Recovery of Organic Matter of a Grass-Covered Constructed Soil after Coal Mining
Revegetation is essential to improve the quality of constructed soils. This study investigated effects of perennial grasses on total organic carbon (TOC) stock, organic matter (OM) fractions and on quality of a recently constructed soil, after coal ...

The introduction of improved forage varieties could play a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for livestock and livestock products in Ethiopia. However, different cultivars exhibit varied performance. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the performance of Brachiaria cultivars and other grass cultivars in two subhumid agroecological areas of ...

Toxicity and Availability of Manganese in the Growth of Tropical Grasses in Contaminated Soil
Phytoremediation is a technique with high viability due to its low cost and minimal environmental impact. However, there are a few results regarding the use of tropical grasses in the phytoremediation of manganese (Mn), and there is no clear definition of which extractor is more suitable for assessing Mn availability in soils.
