Cystography and Placenta Praevia. It has been known for a long time that considerable anatomical and physiological changes occur in the upper urinary tract in pregnancy.

THE story of excretion urography really begins with the work of Rowntree and his associates, who in 1923 used sodium iodide intravenously for this purpose. They proved that intravenous urography was possible, feasible, and practical, if the proper chemical could be found.
