Advancements in TLP Bonding for Power Electronics Die‐Attach Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transient Liquid Phase (TLP) bonding is gaining traction as a lead‐free die‐attach technology in power electronics packaging. This review examines the state of TLP bonding, its key elements, reliability aspects, and practical limitations. This review also highlights emerging trends, such as nanostructured interfaces, that may improve scalability of TLP

Mutant p63 causes defective expansion of ectodermal progenitor cells and impaired FGF signalling in AEC syndrome

open access: yesEMBO Molecular Medicine, 2012
Ankyloblepharon‐ectodermal defects‐cleft lip/palate (AEC) syndrome, which is characterized by cleft palate and severe defects of the skin, is an autosomal dominant disorder caused by mutations in the gene encoding transcription factor p63.

Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Improves Alveolar Development Impairment via Targeting VAMP8‐mediated SNAREs Complex Formation in Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study aims to evaluate the impact of the tryptophan‐derived metabolite indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) on lung development and autophagic flux. IPA alleviates hyperoxia‐induced alveolar arrest by promoting autophagosome‐lysosome fusion via inhibition of VAMP8 phosphorylation, which is suggestive of a promising therapeutic target of BPD.

p63 control of desmosome gene expression and adhesion is compromised in AEC syndrome

open access: yesHuman Molecular Genetics, 2012
Ankyloblepharon, ectodermal defects, cleft lip/palate (AEC) syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant disorder caused by mutations in the p63 gene, essential for embryonic development of stratified epithelia.

Strawberry Notch 1 Acts as a Transcriptional Regulator Driving Oncogenic Programs in Liver Carcinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports that SBNO1 protein is upregulated in several cancer entities. SBNO1 protein interacts with the basal transcription factor TFIID via TAF4, enabling its recruitment to transcription start sites and the modulation of target gene expression.
