Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

Usability as a Dominant Quality Attribute [PDF]
Whenever an architect or a team of architects begins an architectural design, there are certain goals set to achieve. There are many factors involved in setting up goals for the architecture design such as type of the project, end user perspective, functional and non-functional requirements and so on.

We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

Does GenAI Make Usability Testing Obsolete? [PDF]
Ensuring usability is crucial for the success of mobile apps. Usability issues can compromise user experience and negatively impact the perceived app quality. This paper presents UX-LLM, a novel tool powered by a Large Vision-Language Model that predicts usability issues in iOS apps.

Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

Usable-by-Construction: a formal framework [PDF]
We propose here to look at how abstract a model of a usable system can be, but still say something useful and interesting, so this paper is an exercise in abstraction and formalisation, with usability-of-design as an example target use. We take the view that when we claim to be designing a usable system we have, at the very least, to give assurances ...

The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

Usability Engineering in Industrial Practice [PDF]
Do developers use proven usability techniques like user involvement, usability testing, and iterative design in industrial practice? Based on inside knowledge of many different types of projects, the author must conclude that these techniques are seldom used. There are several reasons for that. For instance: (1) The market pressure is not there.
