An Exploratory Investigation of e-REST: Teletherapy for Chronically Agrammatic Speakers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Telerehabilitation, 2016
Delivering aphasia therapy via telecommunication may provide a means to deliver intensive therapy in a cost-effective way. Teletherapy, remotely-administered (language) treatment, may support the repetitive drill practices that people with chronic ...

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

User-Friendly Sensors [PDF]

open access: yesMechanical Engineering, 2000
This article illustrates that miniaturization promises to bring chemical analysis out of the lab and into the field. Current research, based on varying approaches, is aimed at ultimately developing small, portable chemical analysis systems that are fast, accurate, and field-friendly.

User-Friendly Verification [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Model checking often faces the problem of reducing the large exponential sizes of state-space representations. Several reduction techniques such as bisimulation equivalence, partial-order semantics, and symmetry-based reduction have been proposed, but existing tools do not completely allow a user the flexibility in manipulating state spaces. We propose

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

A computer aided design system with parametric dimensioning : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Philosophy in Industrial Technology at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
This thesis develops the concept of a parametrically dimensioned CAD system. Conventional CAD systems require the actual dimensions of all objects drawn to be defined during the drawing process.

Substrate Stress Relaxation Regulates Cell‐Mediated Assembly of Extracellular Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Silicone‐based viscoelastic substrates with tunable stress relaxation reveal how matrix mechanics regulates cellular mechanosensing and cell‐mediated matrix remodelling in the stiff regime. High stress relaxation promotes assembly of fibronectin fibril‐like structures, increased nuclear localization of YAP and formation of β1 integrin‐enriched ...
