Soils erosion in pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr) producing areas

open access: yesRevista de Ciencias Agrícolas, 2022
Pineapple is the third most-produced tropical fruit worldwide; however, it is a crop that, due to its management, can lead to the generation and intensification of processes such as soil erosion.

Cálculo de la erosión hídrica por el método de la USLE

open access: yes, 2023
En este video se explica cómo podemos calcular el riesgo de erosión hídrica mediante la aplicación de la Ecuación Universal de la Pérdida de Suelo (USLE).

From hillslopes to watersheds: Variability in model outcomes with the USLE

open access: yesEnvironmental Modelling & Software, 2021
Abstract The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) has been the de-facto standard for soil erosion management studies since its seminal publication in the 1970's. Widespread use of the model is due, in part, to its simple empirical modelling structure and parsimonious parameterization; however, these benefits have also led to criticism of its relevance

SOIL EROSION MODELING AND CONSERVATION PRIORITY MAPPING IN THE TIRTOMOYO SUB-WATERSHED

open access: yesGeoEco
The Tirtomoyo sub-watershed is characterized by highland topography and is currently under considerable pressure from anthropogenic activities. Such conditions have contributed to significant soil erosion, which poses a major threat to land productivity ...

Desta forma, o presente trabalho

Rill and Interrill Soil Loss Estimations Using the USLE-MB Equation at the Sparacia Experimental Site (South Italy) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
A reliable prediction of event soil loss at the plot scale can be obtained by Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE)-type models. For the Sparacia site (South Italy), the USLE-MB model was recently developed, in which the effect of the erosive agent is ...

La USLE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012

Effects of DEM Resolution on Hectare‐Scale Potential Soil Loss Modelling: A Case Study Using a Spatially Distributed Erosion Model

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 10, October 2026.
DEM resolution alters not only mean modelled soil loss but also its spatial redistribution at hectare scale. Using a spatially distributed erosion model, we show that changes in cell size modify slope, flow‐path length and run‐off concentration, producing non‐linear changes in erosion and deposition patterns.

A review of the research and advancements in MSDF monitoring for the remote sensing of soil and water conservation in China

open access: yesRiver, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 351-368, August 2026.
Abstract With the advancement of remote sensing technology, the accuracy of satellite remote sensing data has continuously improved, and the precision of large‐scale soil and water conservation monitoring has steadily increased. However, owing to differences in sensor acquisition and processing methods, monitoring data obtained through various ...

Lateral Carbon Transport Induced by Watershed Erosion: Driving Effects of Land Use, Rainfall, and Landscape Controls

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, Volume 37, Issue 15, Page 10893-10910, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Lateral carbon transport induced by soil erosion is a key component of the global carbon cycle. Over the past 50 years, ecological restoration projects in the Loess Plateau of China have increased vegetation coverage. However, the effects of land use, precipitation variability, and landscape factors on lateral carbon transport remain unclear ...
