Association between oxytocin discontinuation during active labor and occiput posterior rotation at birth

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Oxytocin is commonly used in occiput posterior (OP) positions based on the assumption that it promotes rotation to the occiput anterior (OA) position, although supporting evidence is lacking. We compared OP‐to‐OA rotation at birth among women in whom oxytocin was discontinued versus continued during active labor.

First‐Trimester CBC‐Derived Inflammatory Indices for Prediction of Miscarriage: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Maternal age was an independent predictor of miscarriage, and first‐trimester NLR and SII provided significant incremental predictive value. Because these indices are routinely derived from standard CBC testing without additional cost, they may serve as practical adjuncts to clinical risk factors for early miscarriage risk stratification.
