Assessing signal loss, accuracy, and acceptability of an ambulatory fetal electrocardiography with cardiotocography in the antepartum and intrapartum phases

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
NIFECG has comparable accuracy to CTG for FHR and UC monitoring during the antepartum and intrapartum phases, and is well accepted by women and nurses. Given that 41.1% of NIFECG traces were rejected due to signal loss, further research on improving the technology to reduce signal loss, and re‐evaluating the criteria for rejecting traces is vital to ...

Laparoscopic cervical cerclage and pregnancy outcomes in consecutive pregnancies: An observational study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
Laparoscopic cervical cerclage was associated with favorable neonatal outcomes in both first and subsequent pregnancies. Neonatal outcomes did not appear to differ based on whether the cerclage was placed pre‐ or postconception. High neonatal survival rates and favorable obstetric outcomes in both second and third pregnancies were demonstrated ...

National implementation of vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery for benign hysterectomies: A historical cohort study of Swedish data 2021–2023

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
The implementation of vNOTES hysterectomy in Sweden shows low intra‐ and postoperative complication rates. The 1‐year follow‐up after surgery shows that 90% of the patients were satisfied or very satisfied with the result. vNOTES seems to be a safe method to introduce broadly in a national setting.

Risk factors for vaginal cuff dehiscence after robot‐assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
Low body mass index (aOR 0.87 per unit) and high uterine weight (aOR 1.30 per 100 g) were associated with increased risk of vaginal cuff dehiscence following robot‐assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Vaginal intercourse was the most common trigger (82%).
