[Condyloma latum, its incidence and association with cervical-uterine cancer and dysplasias].
Cervicouterine carcinoma is a public health problem in México, because of its high rate and mortality. In the present study, the frequency of flat condyloma was 11.06%. Association between dysplasia, cervicouterine carcinoma and flat condyloma was 67.2%.

The present study was attempted to reveal the predictive value of DNA ploidy pattern of uterine cervical dysplasia cases in relation to cervical carcinogenesis. Microphotometric nuclear DNA analysis using Feulgen stain was carried out in 310 cervical smears of 80 dysplasia cases consisting of 53 cases which progressed to malignancy and 27 cases which ...

Colposcopic Pattern of Cervicitis, Dysplasia and Previnvasive Cancer of the Uterine Cervix
Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 1982Abstract. The great majority of cervical neoplasia begin in the transformation zone between the squamous and the columnar epithelium, i.e. within the area in which metaplasia takes place. This process, both normal and atypical, can be studied colposcopically. Colposcopy increases the diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic success in cervical neoplasia as

DNA content in human uterine cervical dysplasias.
Cancer biochemistry biophysics, 1980The DNA content of nuclei extracted from separate biopsies of normal cervical epithelium and from dysplastic sites in the same patient was determined biochemically. Mean percentage increase in the DNA content of dysplasias (mild: 143.3 +/- 14.9; moderate: 225.8 +/- 51.1; and severe: 359.8 +/- 45.8) was found to be statistically significant (F-Test: p ...

Urinary cyclic nucleotides and the cytopathology of human uterine cervical dysplasias.
Cancer research, 1982Blinded urinary assays for cyclic guanosine 3':5'-monophosphate (cGMP) and cyclic adenosine 3':5'-monophosphate (cAMP) were performed on 49 subjects with documented abnormal cervical cytology and 21 control subjects with normal cytology. A significant difference in the mean cGMP:cAMP ratios between the case and control groups was found. A significantly
