Oral Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG Exposure During Pregnancy and Effects on Maternal Inflammatory Response—A Blinded, Pilot Randomized, Placebo‐Controlled Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Reproductive Immunology, Volume 94, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Problem This study aimed to investigate whether Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG intake during pregnancy influences maternal cytokine levels and lymphocyte subpopulations. Method Pregnant women were categorized into three groups: those with a history of spontaneous preterm delivery (PTD) (n = 40), those with a history of preeclampsia (n = 40 ...

HLA‐G, IL‐6 and TGF‐β in Seminal Plasma as Potential Biomarkers of ART Outcome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Reproductive Immunology, Volume 94, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The relationship between the immune system and embryo implantation is intricate and not yet fully understood. Although a genetically normal (euploid) embryo is essential, successful implantation also relies on carefully regulated immune responses that promote tolerance and prevent rejection.

The effect of healthcare disruptions during the COVID‐19 pandemic on colposcopy services and practice: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 12, Page 2215-2225, December 2025.

Maternal Diet‐Induced Excess Adiposity in Mice Disrupts Mid‐Gestation Decidual Immune and Vascular Homeostasis Without Impairing Spiral Artery Remodeling

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 241, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim Maternal excess adiposity (i.e., overweight/obesity) is linked to impaired uteroplacental perfusion, compromised placental development, and increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. Inflammation and immune dysregulation accompanying excess adiposity may disrupt leukocyte‐mediated tissue remodeling and immunoregulation, contributing to ...

Antimicrobial prescribing guidelines for horses in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, Volume 103, Issue 12, Page 781-889, December 2025.
The growing problem of antimicrobial resistance also affects equine veterinarians with increasing frequency. Antimicrobial stewardship and responsible prescribing are essential for a future in which effective antimicrobials are available, as it is unlikely that new antimicrobials will become available for use in horses.
