Abstract Background Periodontal and peri‐implant diseases are multifactorial inflammatory conditions influenced by microbial, host, hormonal, genetic, and behavioral factors. Although sex‐based differences in immune and inflammatory responses are well recognized in medicine, the extent to which biologic sex and hormonal status influence the prevalence,

Spermadhesin PSP-I/PSP-II heterodimer induces migration of polymorphonuclear neutrophils into the uterine cavity of the sow [PDF]
The heterogeneous seminal plasma (SP) is involved in endometrial inflammation and following immune changes that occur post-mating in pigs. This study tested whether SP spermadhesins (binding heparin [HBPs] or not [PSP I/PSP II]) recruit different ...

Progenitor Timing Shapes NG2‐Glia Fate and Oligodendrocyte Differentiation
Developmental timing defines NG2‐glia and oligodendrocyte fate. E16 NG2‐progenitors produce large, more dispersed NG2‐glia clones. P0 progenitors show a bias toward oligodendrocyte differentiation. Temporal windows establish long‐term cortical glial heterogeneity.

Hysteroscopic evaluation of the cervix and uterine cavity after Cervical Advancement in cases of placenta accreta spectrum (intrventional study) [PDF]
Background: Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) diseases are primarily linked to a prior cesarean section (CS) in medical history. The objective of this study was to assess the cervix, uterine cavity for the existence of postoperative sequelae in cases of ...

Uterine Isthmocele (Niche after Cesarean Section)
An isthmocele, also called a niche, cesarean scar defect, or cesarean scar dehiscence is a pouchlike defect of the anterior uterine isthmus at the site of a prior cesarean section. Its occurrence has been increased in the last years secondary to the increased incidence of cesarean section. Many patients with isthmocele are asymptomatic.

ABSTRACT Cervical carcinosarcoma (CCS), also known as malignant mixed Müllerian tumor (MMMT) of the cervix, is an exceptionally rare and aggressive biphasic neoplasm composed of both epithelial and mesenchymal malignant components. Due to its rarity, optimal management strategies are not well established, particularly in low‐resource settings.

Invasion success of a global avian invader is explained by within-taxon niche structure and association with humans in the native range [PDF]
Aim To mitigate the threat invasive species pose to ecosystem functioning, reli- able risk assessment is paramount. Spatially explicit predictions of invasion risk obtained through bioclimatic envelope models calibrated with native species distribution ...

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
