Transperineal ultrasound versus digital palpation: Identifying key parameters for objective pelvic floor muscle contraction assessment

Transperineal ultrasound demonstrates high reproducibility and objectivity in evaluating pelvic floor muscle contractility. When integrated with digital palpation, it enhances functional assessment and facilitates standardized, imaging‐based strategies for individualized pelvic floor muscle training in clinical practice.

National implementation of vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery for benign hysterectomies: A historical cohort study of Swedish data 2021–2023

The implementation of vNOTES hysterectomy in Sweden shows low intra‐ and postoperative complication rates. The 1‐year follow‐up after surgery shows that 90% of the patients were satisfied or very satisfied with the result. vNOTES seems to be a safe method to introduce broadly in a national setting.

Risk factors for vaginal cuff dehiscence after robot‐assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy: A retrospective cohort study

Low body mass index (aOR 0.87 per unit) and high uterine weight (aOR 1.30 per 100 g) were associated with increased risk of vaginal cuff dehiscence following robot‐assisted total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Vaginal intercourse was the most common trigger (82%).

Uterine prolapse complicating pregnancy

Uterine prolapse is extremely rare during pregnancy. However in some cases significant complications may develop. We report a case of uterine prolapse which developed during pregnancy. Our case was managed conservatively and there were no fetal or maternal complications. Postnatally the uterine prolapse recovered spontaneously.
