Uterine septum misdiagnosed on hysterosalpingogram
International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 2000AbstractObjective: To evaluate the correctness of diagnosis of bicornuate uterus made on hysterosalpingogram. Method: Thirty‐six women diagnosed on hysterosalpingogram to have bicornuate uterus were subjected to laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Result: Two out of 36 women had bicornuate uterus whereas the remaining 34 had intrauterine septum.

A simpler technique for reduction of uterine septum
Fertility and Sterility, 1991Hysteroscopic resection of the uterine septum is currently the accepted technique for dealing with this congenital uterine abnormality. Its advantages over the transabdominal approach are: it can be performed on an outpatient basis, it requires minimal recovery time, and it does not commit the patient to a subsequent cesarean section.

Hysteroscopic treatment of the uterine septum: A clinician's experience
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2000I reviewed my experience with the diagnosis and hysteroscopic treatment of uterine septa.This article is a retrospective review of cases from 1992-1999. A septate uterus was diagnosed in a total of 40 patients, and all were treated by hysteroscopic resection.The rate of preoperative pregnancy loss was 77.4%, and the uncomplicated delivery rate was 6.5%.
