HIGD1A Alleviates Oxidative Stress Related Ovarian Hypofunction by Enhancing Granulosa Cell Functions via NF‐κB/SOD2 Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HIGD1A maintains redox homeostasis in granulosa cells by modulating SOD2‐mediated dismutation of superoxide into H2O2, which is cleared by CAT and GPX enzymes. However, reduced HIGD1A activates the NF‐κB pathway and upregulates SOD2, leading to intracellular H2O2 accumulation due to impaired clearance.

Uterine prostaglandin DP receptor-induced upon implantation contributes to decidualization together with EP4 receptor

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research
To investigate the yet-unknown roles of prostaglandins (PGs) in the uterus, we analyzed the expression of various PG receptors in the uterus. We found that three types of Gs-coupled PG receptors, DP, EP2, and EP4, were expressed in luminal epithelial ...

AffinityNet: semi-supervised few-shot learning for disease type prediction

open access: yes, 2018
While deep learning has achieved great success in computer vision and many other fields, currently it does not work very well on patient genomic data with the "big p, small N" problem (i.e., a relatively small number of samples with high-dimensional ...

STK25 Loss Augments Anti‐PD‐1 Therapy Efficacy by Regulating PD‐L1 Stability in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that STK25 depletion facilitates CRC immune escape through the inhibition of PD‐L1 Ser283 phosphorylation‐mediated ubiquitination, and promotes tumor growth. Furthermore, these findings identify STK25 as a potential therapeutic target to trigger antitumor immunity and promote immunotherapy efficacy. Abstract Tumor immune evasion

Snord15b Maintains Stemness of Intestinal Stem Cells via Enhancement of Alternative Splicing of Btrc Short Isoform for Suppression of β‐Catenin Ubiquitination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In intestinal stem cells (ISCs), Snord15b associates with Ilf2 to recruit splicing factors for alternative splicing of Btrc mRNA, leading to the generation of short Btrc. This short Btrc fails to form a functional E3 ubiquitin ligase complex for β‐catenin ubiquitination and degradation.

Fertility preservation in gynaecologic cancers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Due to substantial improvement in the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecologic cancers, a better understanding of patient care needs to be revised. We reviewed the literature related to fertility preservation strategies in gynaecological cancer and ...

Extracellular Vesicles in Luminal Fluid of the Ovine Uterus

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Microvesicles and exosomes are nanoparticles released from cells and can contain small RNAs, mRNA and proteins that affect cells at distant sites. In sheep, endogenous beta retroviruses (enJSRVs) are expressed in the endometrial epithelia of the uterus ...
