Grafting of Walnut Shell Hemicellulose B with Ferulic Acid and Its Effect on the Volatile Flavor Compounds of Pickles

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
Ferulic acid hemicellulose B (FCB) was introduced into the pickle fermentation process to alter the flavor compounds of traditional pickles. Hemicellulose B was extracted from walnut shell raw materials and analyzed for protein and nucleic acid content ...

Reconfigurable Au Nanoparticle Monolayers on Regenerated Cellulose Hydrogels: Highly Sensitive SERS Detection of Polystyrene Micro/Nanoplastics With Interpretable Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A regenerated cellulose (RC) hydrogel‐based SERS substrate integrating a Marangoni‐transferred gold nanoparticle self‐assembled monolayer (Au‐SAM) is fabricated. Reswelling‐induced hotspot formation enhances polystyrene micro/nanoplastics (PS MNPs) detection in complex matrices, providing reproducible, high‐throughput SERS signals across diverse ...

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.

In Situ UV–Vis–NIR Absorption Spectroscopy and Catalysis

open access: yesChemical Reviews
This review highlights in situ UV-vis-NIR range absorption spectroscopy in catalysis. A variety of experimental techniques identifying reaction mechanisms, kinetics, and structural properties are discussed. Stopped flow techniques, use of laser pulses, and use of experimental perturbations are demonstrated for in situ studies of enzymatic, homogeneous,

Direct Integration of Conductive, Emissive Perovskite Nanocrystals Into Efficient Light‐Emitting Diodes Without Post‐Synthetic Ligand Exchange

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate the direct integration of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) into optoelectronic devices without post‐synthetic ligand exchange. This is achieved by synthesizing PNCs stabilized by strong‐binding‐energy oleylammonium–bromide pairs instead of oleate ligands. The resultant low ligand density and minimized surface defects enhance charge
