Time-Resolved UV-VIS Spectroscopy of Microbial Rhodopsins

2022
Absorption of light quanta by microbial rhodopsins (or more generally by retinal proteins) leads to conversion of the light energy to the generation of transmembrane anion or cation gradients, optically gated channels, or signal states in photoreception.

Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-VIS) Spectroscopy

2019
UV-VIS spectroscopy is considered as the most important spectrophotometric technique that is most widely used for the analysis of variety of compounds. This technique works on the basis of the measurement of interaction of electromagnetic radiations (EMR) with matter at particular wavelength.

UV/VIS‐spectroscopy of liquid slags

Steel Research, 1999
UV/VIS‐spectroscopical methods have been applied to investigate the absorption behaviour of CaO‐Al2O3‐SiO2‐slags in a wide temperature range from 20 to 1655°C. The observations reveal a strong temperature dependence of the absorption bands, which can be explained by means of a newly developed theoretical model.

Evaluation of olive oils from the Mediterranean region by UV-Vis spectroscopy and Independent Component Analysis.

Food Chemistry, 2019
Extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) from Mediterranean were analyzed by Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy and Independent Component Analysis (ICA). The use of ICA resolution provided information over dienes (primary oxidation compound), polyphenolic ...
