Recent Developments in UV-VIS Spectroscopy
1992In recent years we have seen the development of many new techniques such as: Dual-wavelength spectroscopy, derivative spectroscopy, reflection spectroscopy, photoacoustic spectroscopy, luminescence-excitation spectroscopy, variable wavelength detectors for chromatography and enzyme kinetics all of which quickly ...

Fellgett's Advantage in uv-VIS Multiplex Spectroscopy
Applied Spectroscopy, 1976The effect of multiplexing in Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTS) (and other coding techniques such as Hadamard transform spectroscopy) on the signal/noise ratio arises from two factors. The first of these is a N½ improvement for a spectrum containing N resolution elements since each individual resolution element is now viewed for an N-fold longer ...

Analytical Applications of UV-VIS Spectroscopy
1992For about 130 years, the Bouguer-Lambert-Beer law has been used as the quantitative basis of absorption spectroscopy. Bouguer established empirically a correlation between pathlength and light absorption in 1729. This correlation was then formulated mathematically by Lambert in 1760 [1] and Beer discovered the dependence upon the concentration in 1852 [
