Giardiasis is caused by a protozoan flagellate, Giardia lamblia. Although Barraquer 1 associated this organism with certain lesions of the eye in 1938, there have been few reports since that time. Braley and Hamilton 2 in 1956 associated another protozoan, Entamoeba histolytica with macular lesions of the eye. A similar case was reported by us.
