Bougainvillea‐Shaped Electrode With Dual‐Functionality for Iron‐Chromium Redox Flow Battery

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 1, January 2026.
An innovative indium‐doped BiOCl electrode with bougainvillea‐shaped morphology is designed to tackle poor anode reactivity and suppress hydrogen evolution in iron‐chromium redox flow batteries. This dual‐functional material enhances Cr³⁺/Cr²⁺ redox kinetics and enables high‐current‐density operation with exceptional stability.

Divergent Nutrient Resorption Strategies in C4 Desert Shrubs: Stoichiometric Evidence From Assimilative Branches

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
We assessed interspecific differences in nutrient resorption efficiencies (N, P, K) of assimilative branches in three Calligonum species from the Junggar Desert. The results revealed distinct nutrient resorption strategies and scaling relationships among species, closely linked to both internal nutrient status and environmental factors.

Ecological Effects of Solanum rostratum Invasion on the Diversity and Functional Traits of Native Plant Communities

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
The invasion of Solanum rostratum exerts stage‐dependent effects on native plant communities. The study found that at low invasion levels, it temporarily enhances native plant diversity and community stability through resource complementarity; whereas at high invasion levels, it shifts to strong competitive inhibition, leading to a sharp decline in ...
