Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Related to Diabetes Mellitus Among Hospital Outpatients and Their Companions in Herat, Afghanistan: A Cross‐Sectional Study

Moderate knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward diabetes mellitus were observed among outpatients and their companions in Herat, with significant sociodemographic disparities. Targeted health education, media engagement, and culturally tailored interventions are needed to address gaps in lifestyle practices and routine monitoring.
