Harnessing the multidimensional bioactivity of Chaetomorpha aerea: Integrative phytochemical profiling with in vitro, in vivo, and in silico insights

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, Volume 8, Issue 8, Page 1416-1427, August 2025.
This study revealed the antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antidiabetic potentials of the seaweed Chaetomortpha aerea using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico approaches along with phytochemical analysis using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. ADME/T analysis was also carried out to confirm drug likeness and toxicity prediction.

Vía Aérea Difícil Conocida, Paciente No Ventilable, Sugammadex ...

A Six‐Step Approach for Optimizing Ultrasound‐Guided Femoral Artery Access

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, Volume 106, Issue 2, Page 1023-1031, August 1, 2025.
ABSTRACT Femoral arterial access is fundamental to interventional cardiology, especially for complex procedures that require large‐bore devices. However, vascular complications arising from suboptimal puncture techniques highlight the need for meticulous practice.

Above‐ground competition by Nephrolepis brownii inhibits tree seedling recruitment in a tropical restoration experiment

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 8, Page 1968-1979, August 2025.
As Nephrolepis brownii primarily interferes through above‐ground competition, management of above‐ground tissues may mitigate its impact. However, additional research on the efficacy of this management strategy and potential allelopathic traits is needed.

Manejo de la vía aérea en el perioperatorio de los pacientes infectados con COVID-19

open access: yesRevista mexicana de anestesiología, 2020
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is highly contagious. Transmission is predominantly by droplet spread. Procedures during the initial handling of the airway and critical areas can generate drops and aerosols that increase the risk of transmission. The

Using aerial thermography to map terrestrial thermal environments in unprecedented detail

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, Page 1688-1702, August 2025.
Abstract The accurate quantification of thermal environments is crucial for predicting the impacts of climate change across ecosystems. Two major obstacles exist in mapping biologically relevant thermal landscapes: (1) overcoming the mismatch between the scale at which environmental data are typically collected and the scale at which a particular ...

Unexpected soundscape response to insecticide application in oak forests

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 3, June 2025.
Abstract Rachel Carson's warning of a silent spring directed attention to unwanted side effects of pesticide application. Though her work led to policies restricting insecticide use, various insecticides currently in use affect nontarget organisms and may contribute to population declines.
