Congestion Games for V2G-Enabled EV Charging

Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2014
A model of the problem of charging and discharging electrical vehicles as a congestion game is presented. A generalization of congestion games - feedback congestion games (FCG) - is introduced. The charging of grid-integrated vehicles, which can also discharge energy back to the grid, is a natural FCG application.

A Secure and Efficient Pairing-Free Certificateless Aggregate Signcryption Scheme for V2G Networks

IEEE Systems Journal
The vehicle-to-grid (V2G) network is an infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) to be charged and discharged. As EVs are increasingly connected to V2G networks, V2G networks are facing serious data security problems. Attackers may eavesdrop on, tamper

The Economic and Business Challenges to V2G

2019
Building on the idea that the technical barriers of vehicle-to-grid form the basis of the other sociotechnical barriers, this chapter discusses how the technical elements of vehicle-to-grid impact its economic effectiveness. To do so, the chapter employs a cost-benefit perspective, building upon a comparison between an electric vehicle and a ...

Flexible Regulation of Active and Reactive Power for a Fully Controllable V2G Wireless Charger

IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification
Electric vehicles (EVs) will be an important asset in future power grids, with a dual role as flexible loads and mobile generators. To implement a complete set of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) services, the EV chargers should be adapted for bidirectional power ...

The Regulatory and Political Challenges to V2G

2019
In order for vehicle-to-grid to viably provide services to the electricity grid and gain new revenue streams, a proper regulatory framework needs to be in place. From this perspective, there are several obstacles to the implementation of vehicle-to-grid.
