Search for heavy neutrinos and right-handed W bosons in events with two leptons and jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 7~\mathrm{TeV}$ with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2012
This letter reports on a search for hypothetical heavy neutrinos, N, and right-handed gauge bosons, W R, in events with high transverse momentum objects which include two reconstructed leptons and at least one hadronic jet. The results were obtained from

Search for new phenomena in multi-body invariant masses in events with at least one isolated lepton and two jets using s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV proton–proton collision data collected by the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A search for resonances in events with at least one isolated lepton (e or μ) and two jets is performed using 139 fb −1 of s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV proton–proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Deviations from a smoothly falling

Interferenceless coexistence of 6G networks and scientific instruments in the Ka‐band

open access: yesExpert Systems, Volume 42, Issue 1, January 2025.
Abstract 6G networks are envisioned to provide an extremely high quality‐of‐service (QoS). Then, future 6G network must operate in the Ka‐band, where more bandwidth and radio channels are available, and noise and interferences are lower. But even in this context, 6G base stations must adjust the transmission power to ensure the signal‐to‐noise ratio is

Measurement of τ polarization in W→τν decays with the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =7~\mathrm{TeV}$

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2012
In this paper, a measurement of τ polarization in W→τν decays is presented. It is measured from the energies of the decay products in hadronic τ decays with a single final state charged particle.

On the limitations of data‐based price discrimination

open access: yesTheoretical Economics, Volume 20, Issue 1, Page 303-351, January 2025.
The classic third degree price discrimination (3PD) model requires the knowledge of the distribution of buyer valuations and the covariate to set the price conditioned on the covariate. In terms of generating revenue, the classic result shows that 3PD is at least as good as uniform pricing.

Evaluation of Minimum‐to‐Severe Global and Macrovesicular Steatosis in Human Liver Specimens: A Portable Ambient Light‐Compatible Spectroscopic Probe

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 17, Issue 12, December 2024.
This research explored a portable ambient light‐compatible spectroscopic probe to non‐invasively assess global and macrovesicular steatosis in human liver specimens. Our findings suggest that this method can be a reliable tool to aid surgeons' decision‐making on a liver's suitability for transplantation.

Estimating Demographic Parameters for Bearded Seals, Erignathus barbatus, in Alaska Using Close‐Kin Mark‐Recapture Methods

open access: yesEvolutionary Applications, Volume 17, Issue 11, November 2024.
ABSTRACT Reliable estimates of population abundance and demographics are essential for managing harvested species. Ice‐associated phocids, “ice seals,” are a vital resource for subsistence‐dependent coastal Native communities in western and northern Alaska, USA.
