Fatty pancreas was pathologically assessed and quatificated using tumor and non‐tumor portions of resected specimens in patients with pancreatic cancer. We found that the presence of fatty pancreas evaluated in non‐tumor portions was an independent inferior prognostic indicator for overall survival and recurrence free survival.
