Vacuum phenomenon

Emergency Radiology, 2016
This article describes the theory of the formation of the vacuum phenomenon (VP), the detection of the VP, the different medical causes, the different locations of the presentation of the VP, and the differential diagnoses. In the human body, the cavitation effect is recognized on radiological studies; it is called the VP. The mechanism responsible for

Classical vacuum versus quantum vacuum

Optik, 2008
Abstract We discuss the concept of quantum vacuum in comparison with the classical concept of vacuum in the context of light-wave propagation. The role played by quantum fluctuations is examined with respect to the behaviour of photons as the quanta of electromagnetic field and also in relation to the fact that photons can be regarded as non-zero ...

Vacuum capsulorhexis

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1995
A new method of performing continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis is described. It involves the use of a fine point of suction applied to the torn flap of anterior capsule through a fine cannula. This technique offers excellent control of the tear and requires no viscoelastic to maintain the anterior chamber.

Cellular Vacuum

International Journal of Theoretical Physics, 1982
Couldany universe satisfy the following conditions? (i) Each volume of space contains only a finite amount of information, because space and time come in discrete units. (ii) Over some range of size and speed, the mechanics of this world are approximately classical.
