Laser acceleration of electrons in vacuum

Physical Review E, 1995
Several features of vacuum laser acceleration are reviewed, analyzed, and discussed, including electron acceleration by two crossed laser beams and acceleration by a higher-order Gaussian beam. In addition, the vacuum beat wave accelerator (VBWA) concept is proposed and analyzed. It is shown that acceleration by two crossed beams is correctly described

On vacuum tube electronics

Physica, 1935
Summary The effect of the transit time of the electrons ought to be taken into account for a description of the performance of vacuum tubes at high frequencies. In this paper experiments on this subject are described Theoretical considerations are given. The agreement of the experimental and theoretical results is satisfactory.

Vacuum electronics in India

2011 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2011
The vacuum electronic era started with the invention of vacuum diode by JA Fleming in 1904. However, the foundation of microwaves was laid in India much earlier by one of the fathers of radio science-Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose in 1890's in Calcutta.

Vacuum electronics - 100 years

IVESC 2004. The 5th International Vacuum Electron Sources Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.04EX839), 2005
"Fooling around with alternating current is just a waste of time. No-one will ever use it, ever." And yet the man who wrote those words made a discovery that helped alternating current become a practical and efficient medium for energy and information transfer.

Electromagnetic vacuum fluctuations and electron coherence

Physical Review D, 1993
The coupling of the quantized electromagnetic field to coherent electrons is investigated. The effects both of photon emission and of the electromagnetic vacuum fluctuations upon electron interference are analyzed. The modifications of the vacuum fluctuations due to a conducting plate lead to a decrease in the amplitude of the interference oscillations.

Ultrahigh Vacuum Electron Microscopes

2013
Field-emission (FE) emitters are indispensable for atomic resolution EMs (ARMs) and analytical EMs (AEMs). Therefore, we had to do best to produce UHV in EMs on market.

History of Vacuum Electronics and Vacuum Electron Sources and Future Development Trends

2020
The historical rise of vacuum electronics (VE) was enabled by the availability of electrical power and by improved vacuum techniques, but its further progress relied on improved electron sources and their control. The development of VE has been pushed by several technological waves/cycles, starting with incandescent lamps, continuing with the radio ...
