A single events microkinetic model for hydrocracking of vacuum gas oil [PDF]
Abstract The single events microkinetic modelling approach is extended to include saturated and unsaturated cyclic molecules, in addition to paraffins. The model is successfully applied to hydrocracking (HCK) of an hydrotreated Vacuum Gas Oil (VGO) residue in a pilot plant, under industrial operating conditions, on a commercial bi-functional catalyst.

Studying of Catalyst Deactivation in a Commercial Hydrocracking Process (ISOMAX) [PDF]
Catalyst deactivation is usually indispensable, although the rate at which it occurs varies greatly. At first, this article discusses the causes of deactivation in a commercial hydrocracking unit called Isomax.

Molecular Transformation of Vacuum Gas Oil in Hydrodesulfurization.

Multilayer Self‐Limiting Electrospray Deposition via Stepped Voltage Bias
Self‐limiting electrospray deposition (SLED) uses a high voltage to generate and deposit a charged payload on a target surface. The coating retains its charge, repelling newly arriving material. SLED thickness can be decreased by applying a secondary bias to the target.

Petroleum asphaltene stability in the blending process of vacuum gas oil and vacuum residue [PDF]
In the blending process of vacuum residue (VR) and vacuum gas oil (VGO), an unstable mixture can be formed, which has a negative impact on the operation of devices and results in poor product distribution. In order to avoid this phenomenon, the stability of blends that forms by different kinds of VR and VGO with different ratios was studied.

A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...
