Potential Effects of Vacuum Insulating Glazing Application for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emission (GHGE) from Apartment Buildings in the Korean Capital Region

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Korea has set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGEs) to levels 37% below the “business as usual (BAU)” level by 2030, and the building sector, in particular, aims to reduce GHGEs by 45,000,000-ton CO2-eq by 2020. In order to reach this goal,

Optimized Antimony‐Doped Tin Oxide Thin Films With Enhanced Electrical Properties for Low‐Emissivity Architectural Coatings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antimony‐doped tin oxide (ATO) thin films were deposited by aerosol‐assisted chemical vapor deposition (AACVD) and systematically investigated to establish correlations between Sb doping level, structural properties and optoelectronic performance. Optimized films exhibited low sheet resistance, high carrier concentrations, and high visible transparency

Circular Economy in Crisis Contexts: An Assessment Framework for Post‐Disaster Building Stock Toward Strategic Autonomy

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Post‐disaster contexts generate large volumes of damaged building stock with significant, yet often unquantified, circularity potential. Through the lens of strategic management, the circular economy emerges as a transformative pathway to strengthen systemic resilience by reducing dependencies on external resources and mitigating supply chain ...

Transition Metal Compounds as Thermochromic Materials: Classification, Properties, Limitations, and Applications

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review systematically examines how different transition metal compounds—such as binary and multinary metal oxides, halides, sulfides, and salts—exhibit thermochromism based on the d‐electron configurations of their transition metal cations. It focuses on three main mechanisms of thermochromism: phase transition, charge transfer, and bandgap change.
