Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

PENGARUH LAMA PENYULINGAN SECARA KERING PADA KONDISI VAKUM TERHADAP RENDEMEN DAN SIFAT FISIKO-KIMIA RESIDU DAMAR MATA KUCING

open access: yesJurnal Penelitian Hasil Hutan (Journal of Forest Products Research), 2017
Dammar resin of Shorea javanica which its essential oil has been isolated can still be used for industrial purposes. Relating to this, the objective of the research is to investigate the effect of a vacuum dry distillation time on yield and the physico ...

Charmonium moving through a strongly coupled QCD plasma: a holographic perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study the properties of charmonium in a strongly coupled QCD-like plasma at finite momentum. As a basis for this study, a "bottom-up" holographic model is used which has been previously shown to reproduce charmonium phenomenology in vacuum and give a ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Thermoadsorption Demetallization of Heavy Oil Residues

open access: yesEurasian Chemico-Technological Journal, 2020
The high content of metal- and sulfur-containing compounds in the composition of heavy oil residues leads to negative impacts during their processing, the use of catalysts and equipment.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Scalar and vector self-energies of heavy baryons in nuclear medium

open access: yes, 2017
The in-medium sum rules are employed to calculate the shifts in the mass and residue as well as the scalar and vector self-energies of the heavy $\Lambda_Q, \Sigma_Q$ and $\Xi_Q$ baryons, with Q being $b$ or $c$ quark.

Trispyrazolylborate Ligands Supported on Vinyl Addition Polynorbornenes and Their Copper Derivatives as Recyclable Catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Polynorbornenes prepared by vinyl addition poly- merization and bearing pendant alkenyl groups serve as skeletons to support trispyrazolylborate ligands (Tpx) built at those alkenyl sites.

Residual Stress in Vacuum Evaporated Film.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series A, 1993
The method of estimating residual stresses in a film and a substrate has been proposed through use of the relationship between inherent strains and inherent stresses which is a kind of an inverse problem. The well-known method for determining the residual stress was the use of Stoney's equation estimating the average residual stress in the film from a ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...
