In‐Depth Profiling Highlights the Effect of Efgartigimod on Peripheral Innate and Adaptive Immune Cells in Myasthenia Gravis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibody‐mediated complement activation. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist, is approved for treating generalized MG (gMG). However, its modulatory effects on upstream innate and adaptive immune cells remain largely unexplored.

Development and Evaluation of Surfactant Nanocapsules for Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Applications

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
The primary objective of this study is the synthesis of nanocapsules (NC) that allow the reduction of the adsorption process of surfactant over the porous media in enhanced oil recovery processes.

Effect of charged lipids on the ionization behavior of glutamic acid containing transmembrane helices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Transmembrane proteins make up critical components of living cells. Protein function can be greatly impacted by the charged state of its respective components, the side chains of amino acid residues.

Treatment of vacuum residues in hydroconversion conditions

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2016
In this paper the use of a liquid homogeneous catalyst has been studied in reactivity vacuum residues by hydroconversion under different conditions. To cover a wide range of compositions, six (6) vacuum residues were selected from crude mixtures.

Lived and Care Experiences of Chronic Musculoskeletal Shoulder Pain in Australian Adults: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Australian evidence on lived and care experiences of chronic musculoskeletal shoulder pain (CMSP), irrespective of disorder classification or disease, is limited. However, such evidence is important for person‐centered care and informing local service pathways and care guidelines or standards.

B -> K eta' decay as unique probe of eta' meson

open access: yes, 1997
A theory of the B -> K \eta' decay is proposed. It is based on the Cabbibo favored b -> \bar{c} c s process followed by a direct materialization of the \bar{c} c pair into the \eta'.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Morphology effect on catalytic performance of ebullated-bed residue hydrotreating over Ni–Mo/Al2O3 catalyst: A kinetic modeling study

open access: yesGreen Chemical Engineering
Upgrading of vacuum residue is of prime industrial significance due to the increasing demand for light oils. Elucidating the effect of catalyst morphology on vacuum residue hydrotreating performance by kinetic modeling is therefore of great importance ...

An Algebraic Approach to Form Factors

open access: yes, 1994
An associative $*$-algebra is introduced (containing a $TTR$-algebra as a subalgebra) that implements the form factor axioms, and hence indirectly the Wightman axioms, in the following sense: Each $T$-invariant linear functional over the algebra ...

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.
