Tuning Co valence state in cobalt oxyhydrate superconductor by post reduction
We report a successful tuning of Co valence state in cobalt oxyhydrate superconductor via a facile post reduction using NaOH as reducing agent. The change in Co valence was precisely determined by measuring the volume of the released oxygen. The possible

Titanium-Oxygen Bond Length -Bond Valence Relationship [PDF]
A bond length–bond valence correlation is a simple method of checking and evaluating molecular structures and is of great interest in chemistry, biology, geology, and material science.

Acquisition of abstract concepts is influenced by emotional valence.
There is considerable lack of evidence concerning the linguistic and cognitive skills underpinning abstract vocabulary acquisition. The present study considers the role of emotional valence in providing an embodied learning experience in which to anchor ...

Control of Ferromagnetism of Vanadium Oxide Thin Films by Oxidation States
The nonstoichiometric VOx exhibits a distinct ferromagnetic hysteresis loop and demonstrates a high magnetic susceptibility (χ=dMdH$ = \frac{{dM}}{{dH}}\;$∼10). Micromagnetic simulations show the results of the “partial volume fraction ferromagnetic phase model” for VOx/Co/Pt structure.

This study examines the surface characteristics of AlInP (001), crucial for advanced solar cells and photoelectrochemical devices. Using theoretical modeling and experiments, it identifies how phosphorus‐rich and indium‐rich surfaces create mid‐gap states that pin the Fermi level and influence ultrafast electron dynamics.

Valence Bond Entanglement Entropy
We introduce for SU(2) quantum spin systems the Valence Bond Entanglement Entropy as a counting of valence bond spin singlets shared by two subsystems.

Virtual reality (VR) has been proposed as a methodological tool to study the basic science of psychology and other fields. One key advantage of VR is that sharing of virtual content can lead to more robust replication and representative sampling.

EuSc₂Te₄, an antiferromagnetic semiconductor, exhibits a nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE) characterized by quadratic current–voltage behavior. Combined experimental and theoretical studies reveal that this NLHE is linked to its antiferromagnetism and involves contributions from the quantum metric.
