Neural correlates of processing valence and arousal in affective words
Psychological frameworks conceptualize emotion along 2 dimensions, "valence" and "arousal." Arousal invokes a single axis of intensity increasing from neutral to maximally arousing.

Optical Gas Imaging with Cooled and Uncooled Thermal Infrared Cameras
In a context of greenhouse-gas-reduction for climate-change mitigation, Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) is cited by US and EU regulations as a key technology for detecting methane leaks in the oil and gas industry.

Accurate Positioning System Based on Chipless Technology
In this paper, we present an accurate method to localize an object on a 2D plan using the chipless technology. This method requires a single antenna and a chipless tag.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Valence-dependent model provides better predictive accuracy than valence-independent model.
We simulated data on odd trials, based on parameter estimates obtained from fitting the data on even trials, separately for the winning valence-dependent model and the valence independent model.

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.
