Research of the first-principle of electronic structure and optical properties of Ba(Ti1-xSnx)O3
Electronic band structure, density of states and optical properties of Ba(Ti1-xSnx)O3 with different doping amount of Sn were researched by use of the first-principle plane wave pseudo-potential method based on density functional theory.

Bond disproportionation and dynamical charge fluctuations in the perovskite rare earth nickelates
We present a theory describing the local electronic properties of the perovskite rare earth nickelates--materials which have negative charge transfer energies, strong O $2p$ -- Ni $3d$ covalence, and breathing mode lattice distortions at the origin of ...

Scaling dimensions of monopole operators in the $\mathbb{CP}^{N_b - 1}$ theory in $2+1$ dimensions [PDF]
We study monopole operators at the conformal critical point of the $\mathbb{CP}^{N_b - 1}$ theory in $2+1$ spacetime dimensions. Using the state-operator correspondence and a saddle point approximation, we compute the scaling dimensions of these ...

2D Multifunctional Spin‐Orbit Coupled Dirac Nodal Line Materials
A total of 473 nonmagnetic and antiferromagnetic 2D spin‐orbit coupled Dirac nodal line materials are screened, spanning 5 layer groups and 12 magnetic space groups. Furthermore, it integrates their topological properties with electride, multiferroic, and magnetic characteristics, revealing unique systems with expanded functionalities and promising ...

We investigate the ground state of the $d^1$ spin-orbital model for triply degenerate $t_{2g}$ orbitals on a triangular lattice which unifies intrinsic frustration of spin and orbital interactions with geometrical frustration. Using full or Lanczos exact

Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Novel Order Parameter to Characterize Valence-Bond-Solid States
We propose an order parameter to characterize valence-bond-solid (VBS) states in quantum spin chains, given by the ground-state expectation value of a unitary operator appearing in the Lieb-Schultz-Mattis argument.

The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Simple Fermionic Model of Deconfined Phases and Phase Transitions
Using quantum Monte Carlo simulations, we study a series of models of fermions coupled to quantum Ising spins on a square lattice with N flavors of fermions per site for N=1, 2, and 3.
