Exploration of mixed-valence chemistry: inventing new analogues of the Creutz-Taube ion.
Accounts of Chemical Research, 2000Starting from the Creutz-Taube ion as the prototype of a molecule-bridged mixed-valent complex, a number of related systems are presented in which the metal, the co-ligands, the molecular bridge, the d electron configuration, the medium, the charge, the ...

Tellurium with Reversible Six-Electron Transfer Chemistry for High-Performance Zinc Batteries.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2023Chalcogens, especially tellurium (Te), as conversion-type cathodes possess promising prospects for zinc batteries (ZBs) with potential rich valence supply and high energy density.

The quantum chemistry of valency
Journal of Chemical Sciences, 1986It is shown that the chemist's concept of valency can be put in quantum mechanical language. Such a quantification of valency opens up possibilities of new applications which are briefly reviewed. Valency is related to the equilibrium geometry of the molecule through a maximum valency principle.

In this article, the synthesis and X-ray crystal structures of two cis/trans isomers of valence tautomeric (VT) cobalt dioxolene compounds are reported. The cis isomer (1) was isolated from the polar protic methanol solvent as a kinetic product, whereas ...

Gaussian basis sets of quadruple zeta valence quality for Rb-Rn are presented, as well as bases of split valence and triple zeta valence quality for H-Rn. The latter were obtained by (partly) modifying bases developed previously. A large set of more than

We recently devised a simple scheme for analyzing on quantitative grounds the Dewar-Chatt-Duncanson donation and back-donation in symmetric coordination complexes. Our approach is based on a symmetry decomposition of the so called Charge-Displacement (CD)
