Valence-bond isomer chemistry. Part IV. The valence-bond isomers of pentakis(pentafluoroethyl)pyridine

Journal of the Chemical Society, Perkin Transactions 1, 1973
Reaction of pentafluoropyridine with tetrafluoroethylene and caesium fluoride in dimethylformamide produces, inter alia, perfluoro-4-ethyl-, -2,4-diethyl-, -2,4,5-triethyl-, -2,3,4,6-tetraethyl-, and -pentaethyl-pyridines. In perfluoro-n-pentane solution, the last compound is isomerized by u.v.

Structural and Solid State Chemistry of Mixed Valence Oxides

MRS Proceedings, 1989
ABSTRACTThe structural evolution versus oxygen adsorption ↔ desorption of the LnBa2Cu3O6+x series, the influence of rare-earth substitution on oxygen network and copper coordination (CN = 2, 4, 4 + 1, 5) in Bi2Sr2Ca1−yLnyCu2O8 series (Ln = La, Yb; 0≤y≤1) are followed. Images of parent mixed valence oxides, i.e.

Reactivity of Seventeen- and Nineteen-Valence Electron Complexes in Organometallic Chemistry

Comments on Inorganic Chemistry, 1986
A guideline to the reactivity of 17- and 19-valence electron species in organometallic chemistry is proposed which the authors believe will supersede all others. The thesis holds that the reactions of 17-electron metal radicals are associatively activated with reactions proceeding through a 19-valence electron species.
