Neural network dynamics associated with facial and subjective emotional responses
Emotions comprise multiple coordinated responses, including facial expressions and subjective experiences. Although functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies have identified brain regions associated with facial or emotional responses, few have

The facet‐engineered ZnO/Zn3In2S6 heterostructure, dominated by {001} plane coupling, exposes abundant unsaturated Zn sites with elongated Zn─O bonds, directing photoexcited charge carriers along an S‐scheme pathway and suppressing recombination. Enhanced interfacial Zn adsorption toward bisphenol A and methylene blue further synergistically promotes ...

Dimensions of attitudes to autonomous vehicles
For the benefits of autonomous vehicles (AVs) to be optimized, the fleet conversion process needs to be efficient and timely. This study explored public attitudes to AVs to inform strategies to increase receptivity to the wide-scale use of AVs.

Conductance‐Dependent Photoresponse in a Dynamic SrTiO3 Memristor for Biorealistic Computing
A nanoscale SrTiO3 memristor is shown to exhibit dynamic synaptic behavior through the interaction of local electrical and global optical signals. Its photoresponse depends quantitatively on the conductance state, which evolves and decays over tunable timescales, enabling ultralow‐power, biorealistic learning mechanisms for advanced in‐memory and ...

Dicarboxylate‐modified anionic hairy cellulose nanocrystals exhibit a high selectivity for dysprosium(III) over neodymium(III). This selectivity arises from disordered dicarboxylate cellulose “hairs” that enable cooperative ionic coordination, hydrogen bonding, and strain‐induced conformational shrinkage.

Bond Valence Sum Parameters for Analyzing Pyranopterin Tungsten Enzyme Structures
The determination of tungsten oxidation states and W–ligand bond lengths for pyranopterin tungsten enzymes can be negatively impacted by Fourier series termination effects and photodamage/photoreduction in the X-ray beam.

In this report, we demonstrate that a crystalline phase of 52nm thick NiFe2O4 can be grown by RF sputtering on top of γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 at a significantly low temperature (150 °C) without compromising the mobility and carrier density of the 2D electron gas at the γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 interface.

Intrinsic nature of visible-light absorption in amorphous semiconducting oxides
To enlighten microscopic origin of visible-light absorption in transparent amorphous semiconducting oxides, the intrinsic optical property of amorphous InGaZnO4 is investigated by considering dipole transitions within the quasiparticle band structure. In
