Immunoprofiling Reveals GATA3 as a Prognostic Marker in Transformed Mycosis Fungoides

open access: yesThe Journal of Dermatology, Volume 53, Issue 2, Page 304-308, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Transformed mycosis fungoides (TMF) is a rare, aggressive variant of cutaneous T‐cell lymphoma characterized by the presence of large neoplastic cells and poor clinical outcomes. A retrospective cohort of 22 TMF patients was analyzed using immunohistochemistry on formalin‐fixed, paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) tissue for GATA3 (n = 20), T‐bet (n = 22)

Missense Variants in the Second Transmembrane Domain of TMEM17 Disrupt Its Stability and Function and Lead to a Wide Phenotypic Spectrum of Ciliopathies

open access: yesClinical Genetics, Volume 109, Issue 2, Page 305-315, February 2026.
Missense variants in TMEM17 disrupt its localization and function at the ciliary transition zone, leading to a wide range of ciliopathy phenotypes, from OFD6 and Joubert syndromes to Meckel syndrome. ABSTRACT Ciliopathies are rare genetic disorders characterized by significant genetic and phenotypic variability.

This original article is commented on by Mole on pages 156–157 of this issue. Abstract Aim To address disease progression in a cohort of patients with childhood‐onset neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (NCL), a group of genetic disorders leading to progressive dementia. Method In this retrospective study, selected clinical features (age at onset, at death,

Climate Change Challenges Grey Wolf Resilience: Insights From Dental Microwear

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 29, Issue 2, February 2026.
We investigate dietary plasticity in European grey wolves across interglacial periods using dental microwear texture analysis. Enhanced durophagy is associated with warm climates in both modern Polish and British Pleistocene wolves, indicating deep‐time behavioural flexibility.
