Valgus Ankle Deformity and Arthritis
Foot and Ankle Clinics, 2008This article describes several conditions that may result in valgus ankle arthritis. Involvement of valgus hindfoot deformity in hallux valgus deformity in rheumatoid arthritis
Modern Rheumatology, 2013The involvement of valgus hindfoot deformity in hallux valgus deformity was confirmed in a rheumatoid arthritis case with a destructive valgus hindfoot deformity. Correction of severe valgus, calcaneal lateral offset, and pronated foot deformity instantly normalized hallux valgus deformities postoperatively.

A discussion of the essential deformity in calcaneo-valgus feet develops a theme originally put forward in 1961 on the relapsed club foot (Evans 1961). Whereas in the normal foot the medial and lateral columns are about equal in length, in talipes equino-varus the lateral column is longer and in calcaneo-valgus shorter than the medial column.

Should 15° of valgus coronal-plane deformity be the upper limit for a total ankle arthroplasty?
The Bone & Joint Journal, 2020AIMS Preoperative talar valgus deformity ≥ 15° is considered a contraindication for total ankle arthroplasty (TAA). We compared operative procedures and clinical outcomes of TAA in patients with talar valgus deformity ≥ 15° and < 15°. METHODS A matched
