Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Vascular Elastography: A Validation Study

Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology, 2014
Vascular elastography techniques are promising tools for mechanical characterization of diseased arteries. These techniques are usually validated with simulations or phantoms or by comparing results with histology or other imaging modalities. In the study described here, vascular elastography was applied to porcine aortas in vitro during inflation ...

The Anxiety Thermometer: A Validation Study

Journal of Personality Assessment, 1989
The aim of our study was to provide validation and reproducible data for the anxiety thermometer. This thermometer is either a continuous or a 10-point Likert-type scale on which subjects are asked to rate their anxiety feelings at a particular moment. It is a quick way to measure state-anxiety.

Systematic review of driving simulator validation studies

Safety Science, 2019
Driving simulators are a common tool for researching driver behaviour, providing practical, safe, and controlled environments. Despite their frequent use in research, there is relatively little evidence confirming their validity (i.e., how accurately ...

A validation study of “LEXIMAPPE”

Scientometrics, 1992
Clusters of normalized title-words in two sets of patent data in the food-sector (from 1985 and 1989, respectively) are analyzed in terms of their underlying document and word structures. The clusters were generated by using the system LEXIMAPPE of the Paris School of Mines. Both input and output data were kindly made available for validation purposes.
