Glycerol Electrooxidation at Structured Nickel Electrodes and the Effect of Geometry on the Selectivity of Product

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
The geometry of additively manufactured nickel electrodes influences the selectivity of glycerol electrooxidation. An increased surface area at zero depth correlates with higher selectivity for C2 and C3 products, as well as improved Faradaic efficiency.

The Impact of CO2 Regeneration Positions on Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
This concept reviews the CO2 capture process in different electrolyzer configurations and highlights that the key to overcoming low CO2 utilization and short device lifetime lies in positioning CO2 regeneration on the ion‐exchange membrane in a metal‐cation‐free system.

Mesoporous Silica‐Based Photocatalytic Materials for Solar Energy Storage and Utilization

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The efficient storage and application of sustainable solar energy has drawn significant attention from both academic and industrial points of view. However, most developed catalytic materials still suffer from insufficient mass diffusion and unsatisfactory durability due to the lack of interconnected and regulatable porosity.
