VALUE INVESTING STRATEGIES IN THE TECHNOLOGY SECTOR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Relevancy of traditional value investing strategies have been questioned after a long period of underperformance. The book-to-market ratio has not been performing in almost four decades in the US large cap space.

Data‐Driven Materials Science for Energy‐Sustainable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Data‐driven approaches powered by artificial intelligence are transforming materials discovery for energy sustainability. This review examines how auto‐generated high‐quality materials databases and domain‐specific language models accelerate research in photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, batteries and magnetic materials. Applications involve extraction of

Changes in the USD/EUR exchange rate and their impact on the return of stock indexes from the viewpoint of a european and of an american investor

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2004
This article tries to analyse the impact of changes in the USD/EUR exchange rate on the return of stock indexes. We deal with investments on the American and on the European stock market made by European investors (investing in EUR) and by American ...

2D Abrupt Nano‐Junctions Blending sp–sp2 Bonds on Atomically Precise Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A lateral heterostructure between atomically precise sp–sp2$^2$ metalated graphdiyne and sp2$^2$ graphene nanoribbons is realized by on‐surface synthesis and investigated by STM and DFT. The impact of on‐surface synthesis byproducts on covalent junction formation yield is unveiled.

Redox‐Confined Interfacial Polymerization Enables Mechanically Robust and Self‐Adhesive Nanofilms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Redox‐confined polymerization of a simple thiol monomer at a water‐organic interface generates robust freestanding films with nanoscale thickness. The resulting disulfide‐crosslinked nanofilms combine high stiffness with intrinsic adhesion to soft substrates, enabling conformal contact with artificial skin without additional functionalization.

Imide Substitution Drives the Supramolecular Assembly of Perylene Diimide Into Laterally Modulated Metallic/Semiconducting Molecular Patterns

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Imide substitution with bulky 2,6‐isopropylphenyl groups induces perylene diimide to self‐assemble on Ag(111) into a monolayer with two coexisting adsorption heights. Molecules closer to the substrate gain metallic character due to charge transfer from the metal, while farther ones remain decoupled and semiconducting.

Tailoring Iron Nanostructures on MoS2: The Pivotal Role of Sulfur Vacancies in Growth Morphology and Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The deposition of Iron on pristine MoS2/Au(111) monolayers produces nanoparticles that donate charge to the support, generating Fe+2‐interfacial species. On the contrary, on defect‐engineered MoS2, sulfur vacancies trap sub‐nanometric Fe clusters and host two excess electrons that redistribute locally, suppressing Fe oxidation without formal Mo ...
