The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Microlocal Geometry and Valued Fields
This is an overview of some recent connections between non-archimedean geometry and microlocal analysis, with some emphasis on the motivic Milnor fiber and the properties of tangent cones.

Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

Some Examples of Valued Fields
The author considers generalized power series fields. He proves that many properties of such a generalized power series field \(A\) are inherited from its residue field \(R\). Most of these properties are known from the literature to be inherited to \(A\) from the residue field \(R\) of any henselian valued field \(A\).

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Study of boson stars with wormhole
In this paper, we study the mixed system of boson stars (BSs) with wormholes at their center. The boson star is obtained by employing a complex scalar field without self-interaction or a complex scalar field with quartic self-interaction and the wormhole

Uniqueness of signed measures solving the continuity equation for Osgood vector fields
Nonnegative measure-valued solutions of the continuity equation are uniquely determined by their initial condition, if the characteristic ODE associated to the velocity field has a unique solution. In this paper we give a partial extension of this result

Linear Problems in Valued Fields
Extending the Skolem sets introduced by Weispfenning in 1988, the author gives quantifier elimination procedures of comparatively moderate complexity for linear problems in various classes of valued fields. Some consequences concerning the complexity of the decision problems and substructure completeness w.r.t.

Integration in valued fields [PDF]
We develop a theory of integration over valued fields of residue characteristic zero. In particular we obtain new and base-field independent foundations for integration over local fields of large residue characteristic, extending results of Denef,Loeser, Cluckers. The method depends on an analysis of definable sets up to definable bijections. We obtain

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.
