Thinking, Observing and Mining the Universe, 2004
AbstractWe discuss the cosmology derived by taking into account the Van der Waals equation in order to describe the thermodynamicstate of the universe. The approach is more realistic with respect to the usual one where the perfect fluid equation of state istaken into account.

van der Waals theory for solids
Physical Review E, 1994In analogy with the well-known theory for fluids, a van der Waals theory for solids is proposed. It is shown that, in agreement with recent predictions, the competition between the van der Waals loop of the fluid and the van der Waals loop of the solid can produce three different types of phase diagrams for a simple fluid. This could be of relevance to

Van der Waals engineering of magnetism
Nature Materials, 2019Pressure-induced changes in the layer stacking order is found to result in new magnetic ground states in two-dimensional insulating CrI3. Such van der Waals engineering should provide ample opportunities to design desired magnetic phases.

Accounts of Chemical Research
ConspectusElectrides make up a fascinating group of materials with unique physical and chemical properties. In these materials, excess electrons do not behave like normal electrons in metals or form any chemical bonds with atoms. Instead, they "float" freely in the gaps within the material's structure, acting like negatively charged particles called ...
