Application of the van der Waals equation of state to polymers. II. Prediction
For polymers, the energy and co-volume parameters of cubic equations of state can be reliably estimated using only two low-pressure volumetric data points.

Transition from hyperbolicity to ellipticity for a p-system with viscosity
In this article we consider a viscous regularization of a p-system with a Van der Waals pressure law, which presents both hyperbolic and elliptic zones.

We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Modeling real gases and liquids using a modified van der Waals equation of state.
Equations of state attempt to describe the relationship between temperature (T), pressure (P), and molar volume (v) for a given substance or mixture of substances. The ideal gas law is the simplest form of an equation of state.

Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Phase transition in Van Der Waals fluid
We study liquid-vapor phase transition modeled by the van der Waals equations in which the equation of state is a nonmonotone function. We solve the van der Waals system numerically by a pseudospectral method and with small viscosity in the equations. In
