Calibrating the wetting front pressure head of the Green and Ampt infiltration model
Abstract The Green–Ampt (GA) model is a classical analytical solution of the Richards equation used to predict soil water infiltration. Based on a modified form of Darcy's law, it assumes piston‐like flow with a constant pressure head at the soil surface and in the saturated zone, separated from the unsaturated region by a sharp wetting front.

Streaming Potential Coupling Coefficient and Transport Properties of Unsaturated Carbonate Rocks
We measured the streaming potential coupling coefficient of natural saturated and unsaturated carbonate rocks. Saturation was achieved with NaCl brines with salinities ranging from 2 × 10 to 2.0 mol L.

An approximate analytical solution of Richards equation with finite boundary
We apply a series expansion technique to estimate the water content distribution and front position in finite boundary conditions. We derive an approximate analytical solution of the Richards equation (RE) for the horizontal infiltration problem.

Operational validation of HYDRUS (2D/3D) for capillary barriers using data of a 10-m tipping trough
Capillary barriers are an interesting alternative component for cover systems of landfills and contaminated sites. Provided they are sufficiently validated, soil hydrological models could be fast and powerful tools for the dimensioning of capillary ...
