A Heterometallic Porphyrin Dimer as a Potential Quantum Gate: Magneto‐Structural Correlations and Spin Coherence Properties

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 135, Issue 48, November 27, 2023., 2023
Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) shows that a vanadyl‐copper meso‐meso linked bisporphyrin complex has good spin coherence and a sizeable magnetic exchange interaction, making it suitable for operating two‐qubit molecular spin‐based quantum gates over a wide range of operation conditions.

HYSCORE Spectroscopy to Resolve Electron–Nuclear Structure of Vanadyl Porphyrins in Asphaltenes from the Athabasca Oil Sands In Situ Conditions

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The purpose of this work is to analyze the electron–nuclear interactions of the vanadyl-porphyrin (VP) complexes in oil asphaltenes. Asphaltenes from the Athabasca oil sands were studied by HYperfine Sublevel CORrelation Spectroscopy (HYSCORE) electron ...

Impact of Asphaltenes on the Adsorption Behavior of Petroleum Vanadyl Porphyrins: Kinetic and Thermodynamic Aspects

open access: yes, 2021
In the present work, the first data on the adsorption behavior of petroleum vanadyl porphyrins in the presence and absence of asphaltenes are afforded. As adsorptives, N,N′-dimethylformamide extract of asphaltenes containing 9.88 wt % vanadyl porphyrins ...

Preliminary Assessment of the Generative Potential of Crude Oil Samples From Three (3) Offshore Exploration Oil Wells in Nigeria

open access: yesJournal of Basic and Applied Research in Biomedicine, 2022
Oil generating potential of virgin crude oil samples procured from wells within the Southern part of Nigeria was employed in this study. The work aimed at characterizing the organic matter, determining the quality, analyzing the quality status as well ...

Chirality‐Induced Spin Selectivity: An Enabling Technology for Quantum Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 35, Issue 28, July 13, 2023., 2023
Molecular spins are promising qudits but their weak interaction with external fields makes single‐molecule readout challenging. A solution that exploits chirality‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) in photoinduced electron transfer is envisioned in this work.

Axial Ligand Coordination in Sterically Strained Vanadyl Porphyrins: Synthesis, Structure, and Properties

open access: yes, 2016
A hitherto unknown family of six-coordinate vanadyl porphyrins of the sterically crowded, nonplanar 2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octaethyl-5,10,15,20-tetranitroporphyrin incorporating axial ligand L [where L is pyridine, tetrahydrofuran (THF), or methanol (MeOH)]

Liquid-Liquid Microextraction of Vanadyl Porphyrins by Nano-baskets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The novelties of this approach are introducing the self-settled dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction technique to remove the centrifuging step, conducting the dispersive liquid phase microextraction in complex organic systems, applicability of water as disperser phase, and nano-extraction of charged porphyrins by nano-baskets of calixcrown, which ...

Table_5_Postdiagenetic Bacterial Transformation of Nickel and Vanadyl Sedimentary Porphyrins of Organic-Rich Shale Rock (Fore-Sudetic Monocline, Poland).DOCX

open access: yes, 2021
Nickel and vanadyl porphyrins belong to the so-called fossil geo- or sedimentary porphyrins. They occur in different types of organic matter-rich sediments but mostly occur in crude oils and their source rocks, oil shales, coals, and oil sands.
