Influence of Cocoa Liquor Origin on Cocoa Butter Composition and Color, Texture, and Rheological Properties of Milk and Dark Chocolates: A Preliminary Study

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study compared cocoa liquors from Ecuador, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire and evaluated their effects on the color, textural, and rheological properties of milk and dark chocolates. The results showed that cocoa origin influenced cocoa liquor characteristics and contributed to differences in chocolate quality.

Individual Differences of Cortical and Subcortical Emotion‐Informed Functional Gradients

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 11, 01 August 2026.
Emotion‐informed functional gradients, computed from emotion‐annotated fMRI frames, provide increased control over inter‐subject synchronization in comparison to resting state fMRI. This flexibility enables improved identification of diverse individual traits requiring different degrees of subject alignment. ABSTRACT The complex interplay between brain

In Vitro Raman Spectroscopic Characterization of Docetaxel‐Loaded Polymeric Nanoparticles

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, Volume 109, Issue 8, August 2026.
The chemotherapeutic drug docetaxel(DTX) is nanoformulated using Soluplus, Soluplus–TPGS, and Pluronic micelles and characterized by label‐free in vitro FT‐Raman spectroscopy. Distinct DTX Raman signatures confirm successful drug incorporation, while spectral decomposition reveals the superior performance of Soluplus–TPGS mixed micelles, paving the way

Managing Spectral Intensity Variations With In‐Line Fiber‐Optic High‐Volume Noncontact Raman Probes: A Strategy Exploration

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 8, Page 1325-1338, August 2026.
Robust quantification in noncontact Raman sensing requires dedicated correction of working distance dependent background effects, while laser power variations are readily stabilized using internal reference signals. Chemically relevant Raman intensity can be preserved for bulk composition measurements, under variable laser power and working distance ...

Emergence of Ceftazidime‐Avibactam‐Induced KPC Variants (KPC‐25/127) in Intracranial Infection and Implications for Clinical Management

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 4, August 2026.
Novel KPC‐25 and first‐reported KPC‐127 sequentially evolved in one patient under CAZ‐AVI pressure, distinct mutations remodel enzyme activity to drive differential multidrug resistance. ABSTRACT The emergence of novel Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC) variants contributing to clinical treatment failure poses a substantial threat to public ...
