Nanoscale InP Islands for Quantum Box Structures by Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1993
A novel method utilizing the island formation in hydride vapor phase epitaxy (VPE) is used to fabricate structures in which nanoscale InP islands are buried in InGaP. The method allows the structures to be grown without using photolithography or etching steps. An intense, island-related photoluminescence is observed from the structures.

Plasma removal by box type electrode from electron beam generated uranium vapor

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1993
When an electron beam produces a uranium vapor in an electron beam evaporator, a uranium plasma is formed on the evaporating surface which expands with the vapor. To clarify the effect of the polarity of the applied voltage to the electrodes and also the effect of electrode areas when the plasma is removed by surrounding electrodes, the relationship ...

Vaporization Box for Monitoring of Moisture Generation Depending on the Temperature and Relative Humidity

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2016
Determination of the surface temperature in order to evaluate the risk of mould growth is currently already a common task. Good knowledge of boundary conditions is necessary for precise evaluation of this risk. Standardized requirements are suitable for a preliminary design and a general comparison of various assembly details, as they help us ...

Experimental Study of Thermoelectric Cooler Box Using Heat Sink with Vapor Chamber as Hot Side Cooling Device

2021
Thermoelectric refrigeration system is considered environmentally friendly because it does not use refrigerants which have huge potential for damaging the ozone layer. In this experimental work, a vapor chamber heat sink was used to absorb heat at the hot side of Peltier module of the cooler box.

Evaluation of a novel antimony source delivered as vapor from an implanter gas box

Ion Implantation Technology. 2002. Proceedings of the 14th International Conference on, 2002
A novel antimony compound has been developed for the ion implantation process. The dominant and current compound used in many applications is antimony trioxide, a solid material that must be vaporized at high temperatures within the ion source. This paper discusses the technique to be used to evaluate the volatile solid compound SbCH3Br2 (dibromomethyl-

WS2pMISFETs by Sputtering and Sulfur-Vapor Annealing with TiN/HfO2-Top-Gate-Stack, TiN Contact and Ultra-Thin Body and Box

2021 5th IEEE Electron Devices Technology & Manufacturing Conference (EDTM), 2021
WS 2 pMISFETs are successfully demonstrated by radio-frequency magnetron sputtering and sulfur-vapor annealing with TiN/HfO 2 -top-gate-stack, TiN contact and ultra-thin body and box (UTBB). The WS 2 film with (002) plane was formed in parallel to a substrate surface.

A bimodal climate response controlled by water vapor transport in a coupled ocean‐atmosphere box model

Paleoceanography, 1990
The importance of the hydrological cycle as a controlling factor on the magnitude of the thermohaline circulation is illustrated in a simple one‐hemisphere coupled ocean‐atmosphere box model. The ocean model includes differential surface heating and evaporation, horizontal and vertical exchange of heat and salt between boxes, and a simply parameterized

Binary Adsorption Isotherms of Water and Ethyl Acetate Vapor for Materials Contained in a Box of a Tobacco Product

Drying Technology, 1995
ABSTRACT An experimental study has been carried out on the characteristics of binary adsorption isotherms of water and volatile flavor for typical materials used in a box of a tobacco product or cigarettes. Ethyl acetate chosen as a model for water–soluble volatile flavor.

Line-by-line calculations of the absorption of infrared radiation by water vapor in a box-shaped enclosure filled with humid air

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 1995
Abstract We have calculated the local absorption of thermal infrared radiation in humid air under non-equilibrium conditions: constant air temperature and humidity, contained in a room with a higher constant surface temperature ( ΔT = 5 K). The result shows a non-negligible heat transfer of 3–6 W m −3 K −1 from the surface to the air due to the ...
