Growth form, regeneration mode, and vegetation type explain leaf trait variability at the species and community levels in Mediterranean woody vegetation

We found a large amount of leaf trait variability within and among species in Mediterranean plant communities. However, functional groups (resprouting ability, regeneration strategy, growth form) and vegetation type still accounted for a significant part of this variability.
